This text was corrected by hand against the scan: the strip at the head of page 12, which the machine reading did not see; image taken from the scan and its lettering transcribed (18 Oct 2026). Number 21 of Cormac's weekly Bad Taste strip: Jennifer Brown on Rhodesia. Note: printed '#21', as was the previous week's strip (2 November 1978); in sequence it is no. 22.

The strip, panel by panel
1. BAD TASTE — Cormac #21. (A man at a bar table reads a paper:) "Someone named Jennifer Brown is writing about Rhodesia (i.e., Zimbabwe) — she's just returned there after a year's absence."
2. "She ventures into town and notices: 'Small groups of Africans add to the littered look of the once-immaculate streets'."
3. (His companion:) "Oh aye! They've a quare cheek them blacks — wandering about as if they had a right to be there!"
4. (Walking off together.) "She says that she fears greatly for her friends there." "Dear me! How sad!"
