Five-panel cartoon strip: hearing the Shah of Iran may be "retiring", a man studies Dr Owen's statements to work out the qualifications for the job and develops a suitably confused ideology.
Cormac, "Bad Taste" no. 25, Socialist Challenge no. 74, 30 November 1978, page 13. From the Marxists Internet Archive scan.

The strip, panel by panel

1. BAD TASTE — Cormac #25. (A moon with the Shah's face.)

2. "They tell me that the Shah of Iran may be 'retiring' soon."

3. "And I've been thinking of applying for the job — but I wasn't too sure just what qualifications would be required ..."

4. "So I studied the statements of the good Doctor Owen to find out what regime would result from the fall of the Shah ...."

5. (Walking off down a long road.) "So I'm developing a rather unique ideology — a kind of right wing Moslem Marxism with dollops of ultra left nationalism and an overwhelming desire to grovel before Moscow, Peking and the ghost of Idi Amin."
