Uncorrected machine reading. This text was read by machine (Apple Vision OCR) from a scan of a newspaper page, and the page was cut into articles by machine, at the headlines found by their type size. Nothing has been corrected: expect misread words, text from a neighbouring article, and titles that are the machine reading of the headline, some of them only fragments. Quote from the scan, not from this page.
How this article was cut and titled: headline found by type size in the OCR geometry (split_tabloid.py); 1-4 of 7; machine-segmented newspaper page; uncorrected Vision OCR.

And one of the things we hope to achieve with it — and again we make no apology - is to raise money for the If you want to support us the best thing you can do would be to take out a subscription; even the best there's a form on the back page. But the other way you can help is with a financial donation. The Red Weekly Fund Drive, whose main aim is the launching of the new paper, will be open until 9 June - the launch date for Challenge. We are more than half way to our £15,000 target, but that means a big speed-up if we are going to get there on time.

Back up your political support for the aims of Socialist Challenge with a contribution, however small. The address to send It to is 328/9 Socialist RALLY
